Uncle Pie’s American Pie
[ 2007-12-13 16:25:00 | By: sophia ]

Ok, it maybe seems nonsense, but someone did remind me of these two pies this morning. Though covered by sheets of past days, the face of Uncle Pie is still clear, and laughter caused by the American Pie is still joyful.

Uncle Pie is not my uncle. In fact, he’s nobody’s uncle so far. Why did such a big boy win this honorable title? Well, just thanks to his famous American Pie.

At the end of a soiree when we were still freshmen, he made his debut on the stage, so successfully that most were impressed by his cowboy look, his guitar, and his well pronunciation of the complicated English words. In one sentence, it was cool. Yet in the subsequent occasions, we were so lucky, or say too lucky enough to witness his wonderful performance of this song again and again. Well, repletion reduces charm. Until he and his song became unbearable popular, someone gave him this nickname-Uncle Pie.

But it was years ago. I wonder how he is now. Has he become somebody’s uncle? Does he still sing this popular or boring song?
