But then again, the Torre del Greco brand has a story whose roots go back to a distant past. Indeed, since the 1950s, it has represented the culture linked to the ancient technique of engraving on shell and, thanks to the skill and abilities of the its expert master engravers, the company continues to re-interpret the value by creating jewelry that celebrates art and tradition through innovative design. Innovation which also includes new digital tools that have now become indispensable for communicating and selling jewelry. «So, as has happened with every national and international trade show, a virtual channel has had to be set up in order to be able to communicate with our clients. We were already working on this project even prior to the pandemic with the aim of using a digital platform to reach a wider public and also nurture sales in the physical store.» That is why deciding to take part in WE ARE, Vicenzaoro’s new and fully-digital project, was a natural choice for the brand. «Our participation fits in perfectly with the road we have been on for several months in relation to our on-line presence with a specific store aimed at reviewing the value of our company’s communication plan and focus on that aspect.» The brand has several new proposals to present to the WE ARE public. The “Merletti” collection comprises a series of items in which the ancient art of lacework encounters the passion for sculpturing on shell through a meticulous mounting process and the subjects engraved on the cameos. “Colibrì”, on the other hand, is an ideal line for every day. It consists of elegant, small and delightful jewelry items that recall the acrobatic spirit and magic of humming birds. The mini mother-of-pearl sculptures are also engraved on new “Partenope” watches which provide even further proof of Cameo Italiano’s expertise: in fact, the shell cameo dial was a technical challenge that the brand was able to overcome only after having made shell cameo dials for a famous Swiss watch brand, valued at several tens of thousands of Euros.
