In many towns and cities, friends are joining up over eggs and orange juice for the first time in months and employees are dusting off their long-sitting ID cards to return to the offices. The country is slowly reopening, and with it, so are our "core" closets.

Months of lounging in sweats and leggings have surely spoiled us all for comfort and the thought of returning to our fussy blouses and crotch-smothering jeans is one aspect of normalcy we'd happily continue to shun. Still, we can't imagine our boss would be very pleased if we showed up in tie-dye separates and slippers.

Ana de Armas's latest outfit for brunch at Butcher's Daughter seems to have found a happy medium thanks to some hardworking basics that look as polished as they feel comfortable. Her white A.L.C. tee is delivered with a twist that takes it from slubby to sharp while also being extremely on-trend: Simple puffed sleeves are the focal point of summer's most coveted dresses and, when executed in soft jersey cotton, make a t-shirt look romantic and fashion-forward.

Just as put-together and comfy as her upper half, De Armas's Nili Lotan trousers open up the possibility of outdoor pants as comfortable as our indoor ones. The lightweight twill fabric and pleating makes them roomy and unencumbering.

To round things out, flip-flops won't fly in many settings, but her Saint Laurent slides are an extremely presentable high-end alternative, and they won't take a second longer to slip on and off your feet.
