For over 400 years Oreficeria Carli has been a point where beauty, appeal and tradition meet.

Entering Via Fillungo 95 in Lucca is equivalent to setting foot into another dimension. Inside Oreficeria Carli, the charm of history is everywhere. Luchino Visconti filmed part of his film La Provinciale here, not to mention the Oscar-winning director Jane Campion who also used it as a set for several scenes of Portrait of a Lady. It all started in 1665 when Carlo Carli, an extraordinary Lucchese artisan bought the shop for 50 gold crowns. Today the store is managed by Pietro Carli and his children, custodians of a tradition spanning more than four centuries of history • MG
